Lead Pastor,

God is on the move! This is an exciting time for Peoples Church. We are prayerfully searching for a new Lead Pastor. As the Lord leads and directs church leadership, we know that God will provide His church with an amazing Lead Pastor. We are seeking a pastor that is Spirit led and is following hard after God; a man that is humble, graceful and who is a people person.

We thank Pastor Zell and Julie for their 6 years of service to the Lord at Peoples Church!

Thank you Jonathan and Jaclyn Oliveras, for your years of service to Peoples Church and the Lord in the area of Youth and Worship.

The passion I have  for worship and youth ministry is deeply rooted in my call to serve God and the Church. My ministry is driven by my belief that we exist to worship God in spirit and in truth and to make disciples by sharing the love of Christ with our communities. My wife Jaclyn and I love serving together and are blessed by the opportunities God has given us in ministry.

I earned my BS in Music from Toccoa Falls College in May 2012 and have served as the Associate Pastor of Worship Arts and Youth at Peoples Church since June 2014. In my role, I oversee all of the worship ministries including the music, sound, and media. This ministry provides opportunities for people to worship God through songs and other artistic avenues that reflect who He is. I also oversee the youth ministry for middle school and high school students, which provides opportunities for teenagers to know who Christ is, grow in their faith, and to be in community with other Christian teens.

In our free time, Jaclyn and I love going out together, trying new restaurants, seeing new places, and spending time with our friends and family. I am also an avid birder and enjoy finding new birds to add to my “life list.”

The Elder board is praying for a mighty movement of the Holy Spirit in this church. We pray that God will have His way with each of us individually and as a church. We pray that we will be unified as a body and we will be faithful to whatever He calls us to. We ask you to join us in prayer that God will use Peoples Church and His people in mighty ways. In Jesus name.

Robert French, Head Elder

I have been attending Peoples since 2011. I am married to my beautiful and amazing wife Katherine. We have two married sons, ages 31 and 27, and two grandchildren. Currently, we also have 5 children ages 5 and under in our home. We have adopted 4 of them from foster care.  We also have a 1 year old foster son in our home.

God set us on an amazing journey seven years ago. While fostering 10 children we have had many opportunities to share God’s love and the gospel; 6 of these children received the Lord Jesus into their hearts. Peoples Church has also played a key role in supporting us and pouring into these children’s lives showing them God’s love. As we surrender daily to the Lord, He is showing us what it looks like to pour ourselves out in light of eternity!

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. Previously, I worked in the sign industry and in manufacturing and currently am self-employed working with computers. I treasure time in God’s word and prayer. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing guitar at home and with the church Worship Team. When there is time, I also enjoy boating, fishing, camping, time at the beach and golf.

My life verse is – Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Wesley Brown

I have been married for 19 years to my beautiful wife, Tracie, and have 2 kids.  We have attended Peoples for 3 years.  My favorite activity would be hunting.  I love being in God's creation.  I enjoy serving in the sound room.  I have worked for a cabinet company for 21 years.

Harold Seames

I have been married for 65 years, have 5 children and I've been with Peoples for 50 years.  I am a retired electrician and I have served as an elder through all of the pastors here.  I really like talking to people and going to General Council to see old friends.

Jeremy Williams

My wife Heidi and I have been married since 1993 and have seven children. I served as Church Treasurer from 2013 - 2014, and as an Elder since 2014. I am a heavy equipment operator. I enjoy coaching youth wrestling in the winter months.

In my walk with Christ, the Holy Spirit brings me to the following scripture time and time again…

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8 - 10 (ESV)
