Mark 12: 35-37
Add Psalm 110 to your reading today. This will enhance your grasp
Jesus’ quotation to His Jewish audience. Traditionally, Jews had
considered Psalm 110 to be pointing to the Messiah, and Jesus’ careful
use of David’s words further confirm it was about the Son of God.

While David recognized he was the sovereign king, he knew one from
his lineage would be greater, would have all authority, because His
lineage was not just from a man, but from God.

Do you think it’s possible we could place too much attention on earthly
leaders rather than the full Lordship of Christ? What might that look
like?

When the crowd saw the power and authority of Jesus, they were
delighted. May we delight in His Lordship over our lives today as we
press on, taking hold of that which Christ took hold of us.
