40 Days of Prayer {Week 2}

This Sunday, we enter week 2 of 40 Days of Prayer with the Alliance! This week is all about repentance. Now, this can feel like a tricky thing to teach to small children, but learning the discipline of repentance early is life-changing! Children really relate to the true story of total life change for the Apostle Paul as he encountered God, repented of his sins, and experienced a completely new way of living and serving the Lord! Also, the parable of the prodigal son is another great avenue to teach children the joy of relationship when we return home to the Father! It is key to remind children that guilt and shame are not a part of the conviction of the Holy Spirit, rather they are tools of the devil to make us want to keep ourselves hidden. Repentance always leads to joy and relationship, and belief in Christ with repentance leads us to salvation!
